Laboratory of Carbohydrate and Glycomimetic Chemistry

The Laboratory of Carbohydrate and Glycomimetic Chemistry brings together researchers and students interested in modern organic synthesis, chemical biology, and medicinal chemistry. Our work is based on close collaboration among experienced scientists, postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and bachelor’s and master’s students.

Members of the laboratory participate in research projects focused on the synthesis and study of biologically active carbohydrate derivatives and glycomimetics, their interactions with biological targets, and the development of new molecules with potential applications in medicine. Owing to the interdisciplinary nature of our research, the laboratory collaborates with numerous partner institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad.
